Loon Lake July 2021

Kate, Charlie and me escaped the awful heat in Colfax by camping for four nights at Loon Lake.  We met up with our friends Mike and Vicki and their pups, and Gary by his lonesome self.Weather was clear but hot.  We actually used our A/C several evenings in a row to cool off the RV.  Not many bugs, caught no fish but there were a lot out there.  The water temp was over 70 and that had something to do with it.  Hiked the Rubicon trail a couple of times. Did some droning.  Did some kayaking. Ate wonderful food.  Hung in the hammock.  All very relaxing.

Our friends Dick and Gwyn brought their daughter Jillian and visited for a day and joined us for a five mile hike and then some droning on the beach.  Had a great time with them.  Hope they join us more times.

We actually felt an earthquake on the day before we left.  Apparently it was a 6.0 in nearby Markleville.  Only bumped the RV a little bit.  I thought it was Gary messing with us.
