Loch Leven Fall 2018 hike

On October 24 this year Kate and me and Charlie hiked out to Loch Leven lakes.  We went via Lake Valley Reservoir which is about 30 minutes from out house and then another 30 minutes on the dirt road along the north east side of the lake and up into the mountains.  Bumpy but not terrible.

Beautiful hike about 5.5 miles RT.  Way to rugged for Ben so we left him at home.  Lots of hiking up rocky stream beds.  The Salmon lake trail has a fork after hitting big granite and looking down on the lake, where you can go right to Salmon lake or left to Loch Leven lakes.  Nice warm weather in the 60s.  Charlie had a ball.
