First campout at Jackson Meadows this year was last week in July for four nights with just me and Charlie. Heavy winter snow caused three of my reservations to be cancelled. I took the Jeep and was able to explore some of the awesome 4wdr forest roads. Even found a place to get cell service only 10 minutes away from my campsite.
One trip using google maps, I went to Meadow Lake on a road that turned into a hiking path. I am still working on getting the scratches out of my new Jeep. We took a different route the first day but stopped half way there. At the time Meadow Lake was not my destination, just exploring around. Subsequently, Kate and I took the western route all the way there, in the Jackson Meadows #2 blog.
